Prevent your water from siphoning out
A gravity syphon forms when water is moved from a high to a low location. It could be possible for water to continue flowing through your irrigation equipment when the pump stops, if you don't have an anti siphon device such as this non return check valve installed, and your water source is higher than your first dripper / microporous hose pipe.
Installing the Anti Syphon Device to your tank series SOL-C60 / SOL-C120 / SOL-C180 is crucial if the first dripper / microporous hose run in your network is lower than your water source. A non return check valve will stop any unwanted water loss and accidental over watering in this scenario. When determining where to position the non return check valve, keep in mind that it should be fitted to the supply tube between the pump and the first dripper and installed higher than your water source in order to break the siphon when needed.
If this item is out of stock you can use an Anti Siphon Device (IRR-ASD) as a substitute, as it contains a non return check valve in the kit.
