Replacing the batteries on an L Series Controller Unit

Turn the control unit over and remove the 5 screws from the rear lid

Lift off case lid and place to one side

Remove wide headed screw from the red ribbon

Pull the red ribbon to remove old batteries

Whilst keeping the red ribbon place, replace the batteries on top of the ribbon in the orientation printed into the plastic

Screw in the wide headed screw, securing the red ribbon

Replace Lid

Screw the lid in place using the 5 case screws

Please note, the first time you use your batteries they may be charged from the factory and have the power to run continuously for some time. To prevent your water source from draining away, please disconnect your irrigation network, and run the output pipe back to your tank, so that you can recirculate the water. Do this until the pump stops running. Now your batteries are primed for correct usage and you can reconnect your irrigation network.
