Replacement 4400mAh Battery Pack for Tank Series SOL-C180
Consists of 20 x AA rechargeable NiMh Batteries packaged to fit a SOL-C180 tank series control unit.
As with all rechargeable batteries, their lifespan is limited and performance will trail off over time. If you find your unit no longer functions as effectively as it once did, or if the batteries have been allowed to discharge beyond the capability to recharge them, then a replacement may be in order.
Before you change the battery pack, be aware that it could be fully charged from the factory, and could run for a significant amount of time the first time it's used. To prevent excessive watering, create a loop back to your water source before your fist dripper so the water can run back into the top of your water source until the pump stops running for the first time. Once the first run has finished the battery should be primed for effective use from that point forward and connect your irrigation system back to the system.
To change the battery unclip the main lid of your tank series control unit and open it up. The battery is housed under a protective plastic cover in the top left of the unit, unscrew this cover. Follow the wire from the battery to the PCB connection, noting the position and orientation of the plug and battery. Unplug the battery from the PCB and remove it from the controller unit. Install the new battery in reverse order. Connect it to the PCB, add the pack to the battery section, replace the battery protective cover, close up the tank series lid and ensure the catches are engaged.
